Eric Omondi, Kenya’s top self made comedian has left tongues wagging after he shared a story of how he once trekked from Kisumu to Kakamega, not to perform in a comedy event but to preach the word of God.

The Kisumu Boys’ alumni narrated the touchy story explaining how he has for the longest time wished to own the best rides after that experience some years back.

The comedian while in Form 3 was a member of the Christian Union in charge of preaching to other students in various schools.

He decided to take his ministry to Kakamega but had no single coin for fare, all he had was the word of God he was taking with him to the students of Mulembe land.

The broke Eric could not let his dream of going to preach just off his mind, he therefore hit the road on foot from Nyanza to Western.

“I wanted to go preach in western Kenya but all I had was the WORD of God. After I tried to raise my fare to Kakamega for two weeks and failed. I decided to walk to Kakamega from Kisumu.” ERIC said

I walked from Kisumu through Mamboleo, Riat, Nyangori, Givole, Vihiga, Mbale, Kilingili, Chavakali, Mukumu and finally got to Kakamega (I preached in atleast one school in these places)” the fella continued

As he preached in these institutions, he kept asking God to give him the finest cars in the land after that tough experience, which indeed is a dream come true for the comedian as he owns fine rides, thanks to his blossomed career in comedy.

To most of us a vehicle is just another material privilege, but to me these two are a sign of God's blessings and the fulfilment of HIS WORD! I remember once while in form 3 in Kisumu Boys and a member of the Christian Union. I wanted to go preach in western Kenya but all I had was the WORD of God. After I tried to raise my fare to Kakamega for two weeks and failed. I decided to walk to Kakamega from Kisumu. YES! I walked from Kisumu through Mamboleo, Riat, Nyangori, Givole, Vihiga, Mbale, Kilingili, Chavakali, Mukumu and finally got to Kakamega (I preached in atleast one school in these places). I remember asking God for one thing when I got to Kakamega "May I one day drive the finest cars in the land" 😊😊😊 #MyGermanBabies
