The family spokesperson, Odhiambo’s elder brother, Bernard Ouma revealed that their long-lost brother had been appearing to them in dreams, asking them to go look for his body in Kisumu and bury it for he was no longer alive.

The family therefore visited various morgues within Kisumu and later found a body resembling Odhiambo’s at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching & Referral Hospital.

Strangely, after Odhiambo’s mother helped in identifying the body through a birthmark on the leg and ferried it home for burial, the strange dreams stopped.

Odhiambo’s wife whom he’d separated with attended her ex-husband’s burial but was shocked when she was informed that his former lover and father to her three kids had re-appeared.

The man has however been barred from accessing his rural home or even catching a glimpse of the grave where ‘his remains’ were buried.

He is currently spending nights and days in a nearby hotel since he returned.

Odhiambo explained that he only came back home after meeting a familiar woman in the streets of Kisumu where he sells groundnuts.

The woman grabbed his hands while wailing, telling him that he’d been buried over a month ago in his rural home and insisted that they go back home.

The buried body is yet to be exhumed as the family prepares to perform rituals to drive away any evil spirits that might be involved in the bizarre incident.
