Many were on Saturday morning left confused after scanty posts made by a number of social media users alleging that Phenny Awiti, a popular HIV/AIDs activist had passed on.
The facebook posts made on ‘Group Kenya’ by one Eunice Ghai left netizens in distress while trying to confirm the rumor.
Well, through her social media account, the mother of two has confirmed that she’s okay and that news of her death is a hoax.
“Goodness gracious! I woke up to Rest In Peace on my timeline and a million texts and voice messages. I just logged in. Attending a wedding. I am fine. I have no idea who killed me on facebook” she wrote”
Below is the user who broke the fake news of Phenny’s life having been cut short by death’s cruel hands.
Here’s Phenny’s post confirming she’s still kicking.
Phenny is now among the many popular personalities who’ve woken up ‘killed’ on social media. In Kisumu’s showbiz, other acts who’ve suffered the same include comedian Owago Nyiro and Ohangla singer Onyi Jalamo.
