A Homa Bay man is demanding for his son’s foreskin after being ‘illegally’ circumcised by officials from a health NGO.
Gor Oloo, a 32 year old Homa Bay resident has also threatened to sue the organization following what he termed as circumcision of his son without him approving as the parent.
The 11 year old boy allegedly underwent the cut after being lured by Impact Research Development Organization staff while he was playing.
The man has asked the organization to give him back his son’s flesh for burial purposes or else he will be forced to sue the them.
According to the boy, he was offered a ride by the NGO’s officials before ending up at a clinic where he underwent the surgery before being handed leaflets with instructions asking him to visit the facility should he develop any complication.
The family has spent over KES 6,000 to take care of the his new medical condition.
Gor claims that the fact that his son was picked without his consent makes him have thoughts of an ‘attempted kidnap’ of the boy.
He has since recorded a statement at the Homa Bay Police Station awaiting response from the NGO over a letter he wrote to them demanding explanations over the issue within seven days.
