Happy new year! We officially resume our weekly publishing for 2019.

33-year old football legend Dennis Oliech has penned down a two-year contract with Gor Mahia that will see him bag a sum of KES 350,000 monthly.

The former Harambee Stars captain makes a return to the Kenya’s SportPesa Premier League 15 years after playing for Mathare United as a teenager.

The striker was signed after Gor’s new head coach Hassan Oktay gave the club’s management a go-ahead to bring on-board the former Auxere and Nantes player.

His signing fee according to his representatives is a figure over KES 3M which the club will pay on two installments.

He was presented with the club’s official jersey by Chairman Ambrose Rachier on Wednesday at Gor’s offices.

“It is a dream come true to feature for the biggest club in the country with the largest following in Kenya.

It was my late mum Mary Oliech’s dream for me to feature for K’Ogallo. I’m happy that I achieved it, even though she is not there to witness,” Oliech said.
