KISUMUINSYDER.CO.KE can now confirm the closure of Kisumu’s popular beach side spot, Kiboko Bay, a place that was well known for evocative sunset view and a venue for social catch up.

According to close sources, the facility was forced to end its operations following the end of a lease contract.

Kiboko Bay, a jogging distance from the high street, Impala Park and the Dunga Fishing Village boasted of an idyllic lakeside setting, great for a romantic getaway or an escape from the bustling city lifestyle experienced by corporate achievers.

It had 9 luxury en-suite safari tents and a deluxe cottage with affluent guest amenities which comprised of a comfortable living and an air-conditioned bedroom en-suite equipped with a kitchenette and a lavish jacuzzi.

All these was accompanied by an almost excellent dining and wining offers.

All the accommodation units were laid out to provide guests with a panoramic view of the lake and a clear African star-filled sky in the night.

Kiboko Bay had the most beautiful sunsets you can ever imagine, a viewing deck that extended into the Lake Victoria, the splashing of water sometimes gentle, sometimes furious but always whispering the magic in your ears.

Some of the very exciting activities that made locals flock the resort include the excursions to the Dunga Fishing Village and boat rides to L. Victoria.

Yesterday, Sunday 13th was the final day of operation of the hotel as lovers of the spot flocked the facility to bid farewell to the iconic Kisumu social venue.
