A Migori man who is also a former aspirant for MCA seat has left tongues wagging in his ho,e county after putting up his body parts for sale.
27-yr old Ian-Harriel Kowiti, a Migori resident from Uriri Constituency says he’s reached a point where he can no longer dine with poverty on the same table.
He’s therefore opted to salvage himself from the manacles of destitution by announcing sale of parts of his organs.
The former politician is ready to part with one of his testicles at a cost of KES 500,000 and one of his kidneys at KES 1.5M.
He however made it clear that any willing buyer who is not a Kenyan citizen will pay thrice as much for his kidney.
“What is the need of having two of them (testicles) dangling between my legs if I can still do the job perfectly with just one?” Kowiti posed.
“Imagine that there is someone out there who can’t have a child for one reason or another. I just want to share what I have, for a little profit of course! I’m tired of being broke, yet I don’t need two testicles!” he explained.
He went ahead to proclaim that money was not the motivating factor behind his idea of selling his organs but would just love to help someone by donating it.
“I have no problem with donating my kidney, its just that I am now financially constrained and I wouldn’t mind some cash in exchange for the organ.
You see, still if I were to donate my kidney, the beneficiary would have to cater for the surgery costs and transport expenses if its a place outside Kenya,” he said
He confirmed that a doctor friend explained to him that he can lead a healthy and fulfilling life with just one kidney.
He therefore wouldn’t mind donating either of his organs at a fee now that he is financially constrained.
According to professionals though, testicle transplant is not possible, only a penile transplant is carried out.
Medical confirmation indicate that the fact that some people can be born with one testicle does not mean that those who have two can sell one and operate with the remaining one.
