Recent photos revealing the present condition of bubbly law maker Ken Okoth has left Kenyans heart-broken and many praying for him to overcome his health condition.

Away from the glare of the fast-paced public life and putting a brave face to still work for his constituents, 41-year old Kibra MP has been battling Colorectal cancer.

For beginners, Colorectal cancer also known as bowel cancer is a condition when cancer develops from both the colon and rectum.

Before the MP knew what he was exactly suffering from, he had been treated for ulcers and bacterial infections for over a year and at one time put on drugs to manage stress.

His doctor ordered him to undergo an advanced scan and it’s at this time that he was confirmed to have developed colorectal cancer which was now at its stage four.

He has since been put through vigorous treatment that involved combined radio and chemotherapy to avert the impending risk of organ failure.

“I will be using chemotherapy tablets that I can take every morning. Because my disease was discovered at a very advanced stage; it cannot be cured. It can only be managed,” Okoth said.

In Kenya, getting treatment for advanced cancer is not easy in the country and therefore he had to resort to Europe where he could get advanced care.

Kenyans have since been praying for the legislature and standing with him in his journey as a cancer warrior.

He shared the first photo since he started undergoing the cancer treatment. This was after one of his followers empathized with the celebrated MP.

“Napambana na hali yangu kabisa (I’m still fighting with all I’ve got). Chemo drugs brutal on the skin and immunity system. #CancerAwareness #WeShallOvercome.” he captioned the photo below
