The 4th edition of ‘Onge Ringo’ 5-aside Football tournament came to an end successfully on Saturday at the Mamboleo ASK showground with team Barcadia C being crowned the champions in the U-35 category.

Vimba were declared winners in the over 35 category.

Barcadia C FC edged Total Disaster FC 1-0 in a hotly contested final match to grab the title. Apart from the tourney trophy, the winners also bagged a KES 10,000 cash award and gift hampers from the main sponsor, Safarilink.

All the runners-up in every category cashed KES 5,000 each plus gift hampers.

3rd Edition winners, Mamba FC failed to register for the 4th edition, giving rise to new winners.

The 4th edition drew massive sponsorship from notable corporates led by Safarilink Airline, AAR Healthcare, Highlands mineral water, KCA University, Golden Entertainment, Nation Media, Club Da Place, Barcadia Lounge, Fuse Radio, Crossover Lounge, Royal Dental Clinic, Kisumu Insyder, One Vibe Africa and Godoski Productions.

‘Onge Ringo’ Tournament founder & CEO Kennedy Oketch thanked Kisumu for showing up for the event which is now becoming a major showdown in the lakeside city.

The event’s major aim is to provide team building atmosphere and also creating opportunities for corporates and business experts to network through sports.
